Supporting the
Irish community
since 1978

About us

Through the provision of high-quality services, we strive to improve the wellbeing of the Irish community across North London and beyond. We do this by promoting opportunity, social integration, independence and equality.

BIAS was set up in 1978 as a response to the welfare needs of the Irish community, one of the largest immigrant communities in London. Our aim is to work towards improving the quality of life of Irish people and people of Irish heritage.

Our Welfare and Advocacy Service supports Irish people of all ages. We provide a service that informs our clients of their rights and welfare entitlements to ensure the best quality of life possible.

Our Active Ageing project supports older Irish people to stay healthy, active and involved in the community.

Our Volunteer Project offers a unique opportunity for people to meet new friends, gain valuable skills and make a positive impact on their local community by getting involved in a range of outreach schemes.
